This beautiful property was part of a development we carried out on some land we acquired in Drayton village where we not only built this property but also turned a tiny 2 bedroom 17th century cottage in to a large 4 bedroom house of which you can see in its own case study.
Before the project could start we had to clear the land which used to be an old coal yard so the preparation of the site was almost as challenging as the build itself!
This vast 5 bedroom property has a very large open plan kitchen and dining area with a little snug area attached which offers a huge amount of space to entertain, the ground floor also has a large living room, separate office space and a sizeable utility area off the kitchen, on the 1st floor there are 5 large bedrooms 2 with en-suites and a beautiful family bathroom, also part of this build was a large double garage with a loft space that provides a space for a gym so we managed to tick pretty much every box with this particular design.
The design was critical with this project to obtain planning permission as the plot sits right on the edge of the conservation area in the historic part of the village, we went with a relatively traditional style of build but introduced a few contemporary touches along the way so the property would appeal to all tastes.
